The X-10 Graphite Reactor National Historic Landmark once created “small quantities of plutonium”. Building 9731 held a similar purpose to Building 9204-3. Both of which enriched uranium by chemical reactions. Lastly K-25 Building was used as the brains behind the invention. Most of these buildings are open for touring at Oak Ridge. A digital tour of the K-25 building is available online. The tour is done by bus and only goes from March until December.
